Jack Portman is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Kinnelon, NJ who attends Pope John XXIII. Long and lean frame with a young long and massive growth coming as he matures. Ran a 7.78 in the sixty yard dash. A primary shortstop, under control during the approach and good glove presentation out front. Shorter arm action that should play with movement plays. A left-handed hitter, wider stance and slightly open with a hover lift for timing. Full path through the zone that is uphill and geared to lift with back spin. Also pitched, smooth and on time delivery with good coil he holds. True carry on the fastball and horizontal break on the breaker and got swing and miss. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
