Mason Breton is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Manchester, CT who attends Xavier. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to develop. Ran a 7.92 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, shows nice footwork and can hands play out front, can make the adjustment to hop, works to an extended slot and shows carry across the diamond, nice body control on the charge. Also pitched, side step moving into delivery, leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside; shorter stride down the mound, works to a three-quarters release point and worked around the zone with short riding life, topped out at 77 mph and pitched to contact. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance in the box, shows looseness to hands and shows present bat speed through the zone. Stays short to the ball, occasionally gets to front side early, nice tools to project upon, shows a handle for the barrel. Very good student. Named to Fall Connecticut Top Prospect List.
