2020 14U Southeast Prospect Showcase
Henry Badger is a 2025 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Summerfield, NC who attends Northern Guilford. He ran a 7.94 second sixty. A primary shortstop with a young medium frame. On the infield he the glove works okay out front before gathering in to the mid line, showed the ability to carry his momentum through the fielding process and into his throws with developing arm strength. In the outfield he works aggressively to the ball bending at the waist while working through the ball, he showed a shorter arm action with an extended three-quarters release with accurate throws. On the mound he starts with a short side step with a belt high leg lift showing good tempo to the delivery, he cups the ball through the back stroke working to a high three-quarters arm slot, worked off of his fastball in the 71-73 mph range with projectable arm speed, he backed the fastball with a curveball in the low 60's showing 10-4 shape and a changeup in the mid 60's with food arm speed. At the plate he starts his righthanded swing with a short leg lift trigger, work best from gap to gap with a slight lift in his bat path showing looseness in the hands, he displayed good feel for the barrel with the potential for more power with added strength to his frame.
