Leonel Berrones is a 2024 MIF/RHP with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Pasadena, TX who attends Milby. Recorded a 7.55 second sixty-yard dash time. Small, slender frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Primary middle-infielder with smooth, fluid actions throughout the fielding process. Displays good lateral range with clean funnel out in front and relatively quick transfers to throw. Showed developing arm strength up to 73 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher with good rhythm and tempo to his delivery. Incorporates high three-quarters arm slot to fill up the strike with fastball that worked in the low-70s for most of his outing, topping out at 73 mph in this look. Has some feel for spin with gradual depth to 11-5 shaped curveball that he was able to throw for strikes in any count. Will continue to improve on the mound as he adds additional arm strength. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with short, quick swing path and feel for the barrel. Solid fundamental swing that will continue to improve with further physical maturity and proper adjustments. Excellent Student.
