Adrian Broadus is a 2024 OF/RHP, SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Urbandale, IA who attends Valley. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, high waist and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, works behind the ball, fields it out front, young actions and taller through release, can incorporate additional lower half into release. Shows accuracy on throws across the diamond in the infield, developing actions with glove, repeats well and projects. Also pitched, side step moving into delivery, fluid rock back with a high leg lift; clean separation working into a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, big extension out front and filled the strike zone. Mixed a short curveball up to 67 mph, tends to slow arm at release. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; leg lift trigger, gets to front side early with weight shift occasionally. Upper body dominant swing, shows strength in wrists and has comfort when turning on the ball. Utilizes hands in swing, can implement additional lower half into swing and bat speed projects. Very good student.
