Owen Coil is a 2024 2B/3B, SS, OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Stillwater, OK who attends Stillwater. Recorded a 6.90 second sixty yard dash time, showcasing good speed. Compact frame and athletic build with present strength. Primary second baseman with a short arm action and quick release, feel for the glove present as he fields it cleanly and shows softness to the hands. Clean actions overall and showcased his athleticism, has solid fundamentals and will continue to improve. Left-handed hitter with a narrow and upright stance, utilizes a toe tap trigger. High hand and back elbow set to start, has obvious bat speed and hand quickness. Ball really jumps off the bat when on time and squared, loose and whippy barrel overall. Upper-body oriented swing and tends to rely on his strength, will generate even more power as he uses the lower half more actively. Intriguing overall package, good combo of speed and power.
