Taylor Casey is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Spring Valley, CA who attends Foothills Christian. Medium frame with a lean build showing some fast twitch type muscle. Ran a 7.37 second sixty yard dash. Primary Left-Handed Pitcher, working with a loose, athletic type delivery while showing he can repeat his actions. Balanced throughout as he was mechanically sound. Released from an extended three-quarter slot while showcasing natural deception in the delivery with slight crossfire. Good arm speed as he ran the fastball up to 77 mph with late arm side run. Tunneled the breaking ball exceptionally well as it flashed 1-to-7 movements. Changeup showing as work in progress but has potential. Big upside on the mound showing as he will make strides with a strength gain. Secondary Outfielder, rounding the baseball smoothly as he gathers to the side. Carries weight well into throws as he released with intent. Full arm stroke as he threw it 77 mph during drills. Left-Handed Hitter, starting balanced with high hands. No load as he looked to rely on his hands to do most of the work. Stays linear while looking to go middle-away. Outstanding Student.
