Mason Braun is a 2025 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from South Bend, IN who attends New Prairie. Medium frame with a strong physical build. Primary first baseman, very polished defender at the position, good energy and confident in actions, gets to the spot well and shows ease at all angles, plays under it and receives it very well, easy moves into release with solid throws across. Can also play some outfield, comfortable there with good energy to action, plays behind the ball well and has arm strength on solid accurate throws. Can pitch some as well, stretch only and fills zone with 2 pitches, compact arm action and hides it well, runs fastball to arm side from three-quarters release, short sweeping slider up to 71 plays well off fastball. Lefth-handed hitter, narrow start and moves in very well, very explosive process and explosive hand speed, uncoils on time with real feel to leverage and lift the baseball, comes off very loud already sending liners into the bleachers, huge combination of bat speed, strength and consistency with the barrel. Verbal commitment to Virginia Tech. Named to Class of 2025 All American Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
