Jacob Ayala is a 2024 SS/RHP, IF with a 6-0 168 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends South Grand Prairie. Recorded a 7.56 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with a long and lean build, good chance to put on additional strength. Primary shortstop, fields it out front and shows softness to the hands. Good mobility, ranges well to each side and has sound overall actions. Plays through the ball well and flashed present athleticism on the charge. Is at his best when making plays on the move, made a nice charging play during the game as well. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a short arm action, kept the ball around the zone and consistently worked the bottom half. Repeats the delivery well, has some young arm speed, works quick and efficiently. Spins a decent breaking ball with loose shape. Right-handed hitter with an open stance and a high hand and back elbow set, utilizes a small leg lift trigger. Short and direct hand path with a smooth barrel, swings on a downward plane and has limited opportunity to create lift. Has some bat to ball skills, tends to get out of his legs at times and will improve impact potential as he stays grounded. Good student.
