2020 South Prospect Showcase
Reese Milam is a 2022 RHP/C with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Tatum, TX who attends Tatutum. Medium to large build with good length and room to still fill out and strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm circle in the back and fires through to a three-quarters slot. High leg lift fires down with good direction. Keeps his front side closed down the mound for a longer period, fastball up to 85 mph, ability to get it in on hitters hands to both sides of the plate. Mixes in a good 10-to-4 shaped slider that sweeps across the plate. Behind the dish, sets up in a conventional crouch, closes his glove then opens it right before catching it. Replaces feet well and gains ground on his throws down to second base. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a leg kick trigger. Showcases good bat speed through the zone, some pull side pop when on time. Middle to pull side approach, excellent student in the classroom as well. Named to the South Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
