Jackson Speir is a 2025 2B/OF, UT with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Bassfield, MS who attends Columbia Academy. Ran a 7.54 second sixty. Primary second baseman with a young frame and medium build. Does a nice job getting around the ball and working to his spot with firm hands receiving the ball out front and working into a longer gather while traveling into the throws and throwing from a lower slot with developing arm strength. Waits back on the ball in the outfield gathering into a longer shuffle as he gains momentum into the throws. Showed young carry on the throws from a longer arm action to a lower slot with more carry and strength to come as the direction all works toward the bag with the body and arm. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base using a big stride with a weight shift into contact. Showed some juice to the pull side at times when he gets to a strong base and stays balanced through contact. Does a nice job getting on top of the ball at the top of the zone with some strength in the hands. Excellent student.
