Mason McDonald is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-2 145 lb. frame from Morgantown, WV who attends Morgantown. Long and lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. Threw from both a high 3/4's arm slot and from sidearm, had much better stuff and command from down low and should probably concentrate on that. Fastball topped out at 74 mph from the submarine slot with some run and sink, has been in the upper 70's at previous PG events, also threw a sweeping slider that was effective in the zone. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight spread stance with a barrel wrap load and late quick leg raise trigger, busy hands to start his swing, showed an accurate barrel when he was on time with middle of the field line drive contact. Good student.
