Blaize Ward is a 2025 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Maumelle, AR who attends Maumelle. Medium frame with a lean athletic build. Primary shortstop, under control actions on the dirt and moves well to both sides, glove works well on the move with confidence in hands, moves well into his release, good arm speed and carry on throws across, handful of things that project for the middle. Also pitches, compact arm action and good arm speed, hides it well and mixed 3 pitches. Up to 82 with the fastball, has some ride through the zone and plays well elevated, downer breaking ball has projection components and can kill spin on the changeup. Left-handed hitter, even base and big coiled load, works longer and uphill through the zone but has really good strength and generates good whip of the barrel, athletic and adjusts well to hit from all parts and showed lots of jump off the barrel to the pull side, good consistent launch out front.
