2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (Sept 21)
Max Lawson is a 2025 SS/2Bwith a 6-0 152 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Briar Woods. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Switch-hitter at the plate, similar hitting set up from both sides and similar bat speed but showed a different swing approach, right handed swing was short and direct and on plane, made solid line drive contact to the middle of the field and to the opposite field, well controlled swing, Left handed swing was more pull oriented, gets the barrel out early and gets it extended more. 7.39 runner in the sixty. Primary infielder on defense, moves aggressively to the ball and gets in good position to field it, active footwork, gathers well and gets into his throws, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength. Projects well on both sides of the ball as he gets stronger. Good student.
