Nicolai Arnold is a 2024 SS/2B/3B/RHP with a 5-foot-8, 140-pound frame from Hermosa Beach, CA who attends Mira Costa High School. Primary shortstop/second baseman with a medium frame and slender build. Showed some bounce around the infield defensively with nimble feet. Works through the back hand well and throws from a longer arm slot. Arm strength translates to third base, where the same motions applied. Secondary right-handed pitcher. Throws from a long, high three-quarter slot. Worked 78-80 mph through the zone. Flashed a 11-5 curveball in the low-70s with subtle sharp, downward break. Showed some potential on the bump with swing-and-miss ability. Right-handed batter with a balanced hand setup. Utilizes a slight stride in his load with solid contact to the pull side. Potential strength gains in store as he physically matures. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
