Benjamin Belliss is a 2024 1B/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Menands, NY who attends Shaker. Belliss works from a medium athletic build with additional room to fill out and add strength. He provided value at a number of defensive spots throughout his day, starting at his primary 1B position where he displayed quick turns and a full arm action to ultimately top out at 81 mph across the diamond. The arm strength also translated to the OF, where Belliss showcased a consistent clean arm stroke with velo up to 84 mph. On the mound the righty repeated a compact operation well flashing the ability to change eye levels effectively with developing spin in the arsenal. Offensively, the '24 prospect started from an even balanced base with a simple leg lift trigger to generate solid contact back up the middle. He flashed strength in the hands with the ability to create leverage in the stroke, posting an exit velo of 85 mph. Ran a 7.22 sixty yard dash. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
