Austin Buchanan is a 2025 OF/RHP/1B/MIF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Mullica Hill, NJ who attends Delsea Regional. Buchanan works from a medium athletic build with additional room to fill out in the future. As a primary OF, he displayed calculated footwork with a reliable glove and developing arm strength up to 78 mph. There's more room in the tank here to add velocity and refine the operation as Buchanan physically matures. On the mound, the righty flashed a compact delivery that he repeated well with a clean 3/4 arm stroke. Arm side run on the FB was evident up to 79 mph with two effective off speed pitches in the form of an 11-5 breaker and a CH that killed spin at 1247 rpm. Offensively, Buchanan started from a slightly open stance with solid lower half weight shift generating impact to the middle of the field. He kept the bat path level through the zone intending to stroke line drives with backspin, posting an exit velo of 84 mph. Ran a 7.20 sixty yard dash. Good student.
