Jackson Landry is a 2024 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Donaldsonville, LA who attends Ascension Catholic Interparsch. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, shows balance and footwork coming off the base, fields out front with softness to hands and reads hops well, strong and accurate arm across the diamond. Also pitched, side step moving into a high leg lift, coils on backside and works into a full arm action through the back, gets to a high three-quarters at release. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, occasionally mistimed at release, remains online towards the plate, projects with additional lower half. Present feel for curveball, lands the pitch for strikes consistently, 11-5 shape with depth in the mid-60s. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, loads weight onto backside and utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball, creates loft off of the barrel to pull side with present carry off the barrel. Uses length of levers to create extension out front, worked middle and pull parts of field and shows nice hand-eye coordination. Excellent student.
