Drew Jackson is a 2028 LHP/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Tuscaloosa, AL who attends American Christian Academy. Young, athletic frame with narrow shoulders and a lean build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, side step moving into a big leg raise with a tuck at the top, gets into lower half well coming down the mound. Compact arm action with a higher take back, repeats well and able to fill the strike zone; fastball topped out at 81 mph with some serious sinking life at times. Able to locate the heater and curveball shows nice shape and spin to it up to 68 mph, flashed a rare changeup at 68 mph as well with low spin and short life. Nice potential on the mound. Fields ball out front in the outfield, clean arm action and works on top of throws, shows accuracy to the intended base and works over front side, athleticism plays in actions. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a hover leg lift trigger for timing. Upper body dominant swing, can refine lower half mechanics, swings with intent and looks to lift at the point of contact, some jump off of the barrel when squared up. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
