Jayden Montero is a 2024 2B/3B/OF with a 5-7 147 lb. frame from Waipahu, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools. Compact build with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, early leg lift trigger that can leave his foot down too early at times, has strong hands and uses them well to drive the barrel, ball comes off the barrel well with some carry, line drive swing plane, projects as a hitter as he continues to grow. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, works low to the ground with active feet, smooth glove actions at the ball and his footwork was sound and balanced, second base arm strength and actions. Also played some outfield. Good student.
