Josh Khang is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Toronto, ON who attends St. Michaels College. Large and stocky frame with strength to his lower half. Ran a 7.60 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, starts his delivery with a side rocker step up to a belt high leg lift, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, uses a short stride down the mound landing online to the plate, could drive more with lower half off the rubber for potential improved arm speed and velocity. Fastball sits in the 72-75 mph range, mixes in a curveball and slider that each vary in shape, feel for each secondary offering. Secondary corner infielder, worked out in the infield with deliberate actions, fields the ball bending at his waist, young hands and throws from a similar slot as on the bump. Righthanded hitter, uses a leg lift trigger into contact while taking a downhill swing plane, compact path while keeping his hands inside the baseball, pull side approach showing a feel for the barrel.
