Tyler Smolinski is a 2024 SS/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Gretna, NE who attends Gretna. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread and open started with a wrapped barrel load, long and fluid swing with some whip through the zone and the potential for more as he gets stronger, turned the barrel over well, projects as a hitter. 7.28 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, plays with good energy and sound fundamentals, flexible arm that changed slots well, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength. Good student, verbal commitment to Kansas State.
