Henry Akopov is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Mt Paran Christian. Large, athletic frame that projects well with room to fill throughout, already possesses present strength. Primary outfielder, works well to the ball on the approach and gets in a good position, maintains momentum and energy through the ball and into release, nice present arm strength and works on top of the ball, shorter arm action, shows accuracy to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even and slightly spread stance with a short and quick trigger for timing in the box. Uncoils hard into contact and shows lots of quickness to hands, ball jumps off of the barrel when squared, gets inconsistent with mechanics. Best when extended out front and looking to work the gaps, linear stroke through the zone. Very good student.
