Dean Williams is a 2023 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Wendell, NC who attends East Wake Academy. Medium height with a lean build and easy room to add strength. Ran a 7.16 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, he showed good timing in his approach to the ball and worked around and through the ball during his round. The actions project well and he has a solid/quick transfer and release. A right-handed hitter, he starts narrow with very high hands. Uses a floating hand load and toe tap trigger with good eye-hand coordination. He has an all fields approach and a line drive path currently. He also pitched using two slots to throw his fastball. A standard 3/4 release that he would add velocity to and more of a submarine slot he would sink fastball to both sides of the plate with. He mixed a slider as well with all of his offerings getting early and soft contact. Good student.
