2019 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Tyrone Isaac is a 2021 C/1B with a 5-9 173 lb. frame from Guayama, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.23 second 60-yard dash time. Medium sized build with some present strength and athleticism to the frame. Primary catcher with good flexibility in the set and had arm strength recorded up to 73 mph. Strides open slightly with the arm strength to maintain accuracy on a quick release. Righthanded hitter with a small stride and simple weight shift. High hand set, high back elbow, and hands get loose throughout the stroke. Repeats the swing well with a simple timing mechanism. Some feel for the barrel and getting the bat head out in front. Great student.
