Smith Bailey is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-6 200 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Mountain Ridge HS. Extra large frame and build with lots of room for physical projection. Primary right-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Longer arm stroke with lots of whip and arm speed. High three-quarters arm slot and can land the breaking ball with comfort to the glove side. Changeup has higher spin with up to 19 inches of horizontal movement. Pounded the strike zone and the fastball peaked at 94 mph. Lots of strikes with fluidity and athleticism to movement. Works quickly and attacks all quadrants with conviction. Good student. Verbal commitment to Arizona. Named to the 2023 PG All-American Classic.
