Dustin Herrmann is a 2007 3B/P/OF/1B with a 6'0'', 190 lb. frame from Riverside CA, who attends Martin Luther King HS. Herrmann has a strong, athletic, well-proportioned body, with strong legs. He flashed very strong hitting tools, particularly in his BP round, so keep an eye on him. He sets up well and his body works. Herrmann kept his hands inside the ball and with an easy, line drive, gap to gap stroke, he drove through contact really well. His hands are strong and they work. He has present day power and will gain more as he gets more reps and becomes more polished. Herrmann looked the part of a 5-6 hole type hitter, with the ability to drive in runs and hammer mistakes. When he was patient, he was a much better hitter. The timing part of hitting is what he is still working on, in game situations. Defensively Herrmann showed decent hands and a quick release. He has pretty good feet and an accurate arm. Herrmann is a solid student and solid player.
