Daniel Schwalm is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Quakertown, PA who attends Quakertown Community. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front and gains ground through the ball, hands works well, lower slot with quickness to arm, ball comes out cleanly and shows accuracy on throws across the diamond. Also pitched, turn step moving into a high leg lift delivery; full arm action working up to an extended three-quarters release point, stays tall on back side. Upper body dominant release, fastball topped out at 75 mph, natural sinking life to it and works to both sides of the plate. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Creates present bat speed through the zone, swings with intent and works gap-to-gap. Quickness to hands, best contact when getting extended out front, occasionally stays too inside the ball. Very good student.
