Jaylen Gutierrez is a 2023 RHP with a 6-3 130 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends Cardinal Hayes. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.56 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, slight turn at start on the mound, loose arm action through the back working to a lower three-quarters release point, tends to open front side early coming down the mound. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, shows hard running life when on time and maintained velocity throughout outing. Settled in around the zone and mixed in both a short slider up to 63 mph with developing feel and a changeup at 67 mph, pitches to contact. Projectable build.
