Julio Lluberes Peguero is a 2024 SS with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Port Saint Lucie, FL who attends Albany Paulies Academy. An athletic frame and build with a projectable frame. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with tons of whip to the arm, with throws that were at 92 mph across the infield. Tons of strength in the arm with a quick first step to pair. Moved real well laterally with a smooth glove to make good picks. A switch-hitter. As a right-handed hitter with an even base and even feet. high-hands with a lower back elbow. Uses a leg-lift trigger with some hand speed working through the zone. Aggressive rotation with the ability to work back up the middle and into the backside gap as a right-hander. As a left-hander, same setup with even louder results. More bat speed and tons of strength at impact, working uphill to the ball to drive it to the pull-side gap. Good student. Named to 2023 Florida Workout Showcase TP List.
