Michael Devenney is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Chester Springs, PA who attends Downingtown East Campus. Long and lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Drop and drive mechanics on the mound with an early back leg collapse, looses his height and leverage early, high 3/4's arm slot, loose and easy out front. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 86 mph, works low in the zone with his fastball, plenty more velocity there with adjustments and additional physical strength. Tends to shorten his arm stroke and slow his arm on his curveball, still developing feel for this pitch. Worked out in the outfield and showed his arm strength and athleticism well. Excellent student.
