Matthew Sermeno is a 2023 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Cuthbertson HS. Recorded a 7.68 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame and build with room for physical projection. Primary shortstop who bends at the waist and shows good accuracy across the diamond. Shows some range to either side with a shorter arm stroke and throws recorded up to 75 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter with an open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Simple stroke and has a small stride forward. Best when he loads his weight onto his backside and maintains it through contact. Flashes of power and hard hit contact but needs to be timed up more consistently. Great student.
