His almost over the top throwing action and 80 mph velocity allow his tosses to be firm and hold their plane to the target. His throws are consistently accurate. He also showed his form on the mound. He utilizes a short and compact arm stroke and incorporates a long stride in his lower half mechanics. His deceptive operation helps him consistently throw his 76-78 mph sinking fastball and his 69 mph sweeping breaking ball with sound execution and routine command and control. At the plate, Bubby starts with a taller, more upright stance and has an easy, smooth and consistent load to trigger. He has a flatter bat path and his barrel stays in the zone for some time. He has honed his swing well and the resulting contact is loud. He impacts to ball with force and his swing operation will eventually allow for growth in power production.
