Joel Norman is a 2024 OF/1B, 3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Pearland. Norman flashed his tools at variety of different positions, showing the ability to be a solid utility player. With a strong lower half, Norman stayed behind the ball well from the outfield and put himself in good positions to throw. Although his mechanics are raw, Norman created momentum through the ball with young arm actions. Adding some speed and quicker footwork will improve his defensive game from all positions. Offensively, Norman started out of a slightly open stance and produced some solid contact to the pull side. Incorporating better weight shift and adding some strength to his upper body will yield greater bat speed and power in the future.
