Hosley Snell is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Washington, DC who attends Bishop Mcnamara. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a lean, projectable build with some strength to frame. Runs well, posted a 6.86 60-yard dash. Listed as a primary third baseman, only worked out from the outfield in this look; fields the ball out front and works into a longer and loose arm action, occasionally gets under the ball at release, short stride and can incorporate additional lower half, some effort at release, higher slot and shows carry to throws when working on top of the ball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing with limited shift through lower half. Stays short and direct to the ball with swing path and looks to create contact to pull side, occasional lift to path, gets uphill at times; can incorporate additional lower half, extended out front at point of contact, gets onto front side prior to contact. Very good student.
