Sam Dorce is a 2022 2B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Kingsland, GA who attends Camden County. He ran a 7.37 second sixty. A primary second baseman with a medium projectable frame. On the infield he showed feel for the glove working through the ball and carrying momentum into his throws with some carry across the diamond. In the outfield fields the ball cleanly into a shuffle with good extension on the throws topping out at 81 mph from the outfield. On the mound he starts with a short arm action and tight release out front, the fastball sat 74-78 mph from a low three-quarters arm slot, was able to effectively mix in a breaking ball with 11-5 shape in the mid 60's with tumbling depth that could be sharper with better arm speed. At the plate, his right handed swing showed good use of the lower half, firing the hips with a weight shift into contact, worked best from gap to gap with developing bat speed that will produce more power with added strength.
