William Randall is a 2021 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-10 178 lb. frame from Tyler, TX who attends Tyler Lee. Recorded a 7.02 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with well-proportioned lower half strength and some present athleticism. Primary infielder; anticipatory actions into the fielding process with slight waist bend to field, clean glove actions out in front and ability to range to both sides. Displayed arm strength up to 82 mph across the diamond from an over-the-top arm slot. Secondary right-handed pitcher; deliberate pace to delivery with overhead pump into a slightly higher than belt leg lift and a shorter stride out to foot strike. Low effort mechanics with ability to repeat well, throws plenty of strikes to either side of the plate with fastball that worked in the mid-to-upper 70s. Fastball showed occasional cut to it due to stride length, missing the barrel often and generating tons of weak contact. Breaking ball is still in the development stages but shows intriguing spin traits and swing-and-miss capability. Also took part in the outfielder workout, displaying aggressive approach into the fielding process with well-maintained momentum into release. Displayed arm strength up to 84 mph in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with tight hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Contact oriented stroke with middle-to-opposite field approach and good bat-to-ball skills. Fairly simple hitting operation with inside hand path and best impact to the opposite field. High energy prospect with solid overall skill set, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Excellent Student.
