2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase  
Chris is a 2006 grad from Fountain Valley High School from Southern California. At 6'5" 195 lbs. he has a very tall, lean projectable body with a lot of room for added strength in the future. Chris has excellent arm strength and fits just about every criteria you want to see in a top prospect young pitcher. He has an easy, balanced delivery with very little effort and the ball leaves his hand clean as a whistle. He generates very good leverage with a downward plane to the plate. We've seen Chris with a bit better velocity than he had here (88-91 mph) but even with out it, he breezed through. He also throws a spike curve ball at 72-76 mph that has late bite with very good spin and depth. Chris's change up is also a quality pitch and he shows the ability to command all three pitches. Chris is one of the premier 2006 pitching prospects in the country
