Trent Tankersley is a 2024 C/RHP, IF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Waverly, GA who attends Glynn Academy. Medium athletic frame with broad shoulders and emerging physicality. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.62 seconds. Primary position C using a slightly open stance and a deliberate transfer as he works in a clean line to second base. Arm strength created throws up to 74 mph and pop times in the 2.00 range with regularity. As his footwork becomes more efficient the arm should play even better and he showed nice proficiency with the glove giving him the complete compliment of tools behind the plate. RHH with a neutral and inline stance, a high back elbow and employs a simple, small weight shift to contact. Very efficient in his overall presentation with the stick, using a compact turn with his torso he got on plane well and generated nice carry. The hit tool is there and should continue to develop with maturity and added strength. Solid student who projects to be an offensive catcher longterm.
