Drew Dykstra is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Fulton, IL who attends Fulton. Medium frame and slender build with plenty of room to fill. Primary left-handed pitcher with a smooth and fluid operation, repeats it well. Big leg kick above the belt with drop and drive lower half mechanics. Arm gets a bit stiff in the back, keeps the arm stroke short and maintains a high release. Comes from a high three-quarters slot, fastball has some cutting life to it. Missed glove side consistently and struggled to find his release point. Shows a downer curveball with 12/6 shape and vertical drop, good looking pitch that he buries every time. Also throws a changeup with cut action and a slider. Holds the velo well in the stretch, found command of his curveball as he settled in. Has the potential to be an effective crafty-lefty type of pitcher in the future. Excellent student.
