Wyatt Simons is a 2027 RHP/MIF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Xavier. Compact, athletic looking frame with plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.98 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Deceptive delivery with varying timing and tempo. Strike thrower that maintained the low-to-mid 70s throughout his outing and topped out at 75 mph from a whippy three-quarters arm slot. Showed ability to use both sides of the plate with his fastball and landed two-plane breaking ball for strikes. Will continue to improve with additional velocity and minor mechanical adjustments. Secondary middle-infielder with quickness to his feet, good lateral range and smoothness to his movements. Works downhill through the baseball with intent and recorded arm strength up to 75 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with pushed, tight hands and negative toe-tap loading mechanism. Coils well into his back hip and fires his hip quickly into launch. Middle-of-the field approach with tight turns and consistent impact. Gets on-plane, stays through the hitting zone and displayed quickness to his hands. Solid, fundamentally sound defensive skill set that will continue to improve with additional strength and maturity. Good Student.
