Chase Batten is a 2024 LHP/C, 1B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends Foster. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.46 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, smooth operation with repeatability and ease, fluid arm stroke, low 3/4 slot, fastball worked 78-83 mph with good life to the arm side, sharp curveball with two-plane break, out pitch curveball, showed changeup with feel for fade and replication, high upside young arm. Hits from upright stance with high hands, length to stroke with projectable bat speed. Threw 82 mph from the outfield. Good student, named to 2021 Sunshine South Top Prospect List.
