2023 14U National Showcase
William Cutshall is a 2026 2B/RHP/C with a 6-1 173 lb. frame from Covington, GA who attends Eastside. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.91 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, shows quickness to footwork and clean funnel moving through the ball, hands play nicely with some snatch, strong arm with carry across diamond; big arm from out field as well, lots of quickness to footwork, utilizes a crow hop moving into release, fields the ball out front. Lower set up behind the plate, deeper transfer into a short arm action, shows strength and carry on throws, quickness to actions and footwork coming out of crouch. Also pitched, leg lift up to chest and lands on line coming down the mound, easy operation with low effort; medium length arm action working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, ball comes out cleanly with nice running life to his arm side. Lands curveball for strikes, 11-5 shape up to 72 mph with depth through the zone and feel for the pitch. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; leg lift trigger moving into stride with nice weight shift. Swings it well and lives on the barrel, present bat speed with ability to generate backspin to the middle and pull side parts of the field, repeats it well. Excellent student. Named to the 2023 14u Perfect Game Select Festival.
