2022 Summer Main Event Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Andrew Doherty is a 2024 C/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends North Gwinnett. Medium athletic build with some present strength and the room for more. Very good runner, especially for a primary catcher, 6.63 in the sixty. Has good lower half quickness behind the plate, developing footwork throwing and can gain ground better into his release, makes accurate on line throws, projects well defensively. Obviously athletic enough to play all over the field. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a tight hand load, short swing with pull side contact, top hand dominant swing, can extend better through contact, swing is too short at present especially for his body type and physical twitch. Good student. Named to the Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
