2021 Northeast Prospect Showcase
Braeden Campbell is a 2025 C/ with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Saunderstown, RI who attends Bishop Hendricken. Recorded a 7.40 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, medium frame with strong lower half and room to physically mature. Primary catcher with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Receives from a one knee, kickstand stance with soft hands, quick mid-line transfers and some carry on his throws to the bag. Stays behind the baseball well, gains ground towards his target efficiently and recorded arm strength up to 75 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with rotational lower half, quickness to his hands and feel for the barrel. Displayed consistent line drive impact and good backspin that carried the gaps, flashing some long term power potential. Fundamentally sound prospect with offensive prowess, will continue to improve with refinements to his defensive skills and additional strength.
