Makoy Stone is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-4 115 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Klein Oak. Primary left-handed pitcher that has a young and slender frame with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Starts from the windup with a big side step into a belt high leg lift. Has drop and drive actions down the mound, showcasing athleticism in the lower half while getting down the mound well. Has a loose and whippy arm action, releasing from a three-quarter slot and generating good arm-side run to the fastball at 65-69 miles per hour. Shows feel to land a curveball with 11-5 shape and some nice depth through zone in the mid-50s, and flashes a changeup with similar arm action as the fastball plus some late fading action in the zone. Tunnels well across all three pitches with a foundation to build on as the frame continues to mature physically. Secondary first baseman with a clean funnel and soft hands, gathering well with good footwork. Has a short arm action and developing arm strength, making throws at 68 miles per hour. Left-handed hitter that starts from a speed and crouched stance, with a simple leg lift trigger and rotational lower half. Has a middle of the field to pull-side approach, flashing the ability to find the barrel with developing bat speed through the zone. Will improve as the frame adds strength and size.
