Preston Denapoli is a 2025 C/RHP/1B/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Mt. Pleasant, SC who attends Lucy Beckham. Big and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow and open stance with an early stride into contact, hanging front leg load as a timer, swings hard with some hip torque to drive his bat speed, long and extended swing, looking to pull and lift the ball, flashes power when on time and on balance. 8.98 runner in the sixty. Played multiple positions on the field but profiles best as a first baseman, has a long and loose arm action at all positions, will continue to improve with continued work on his lower half quickness and athleticism. Also pitched, simple slow paced delivery with the same long and loose arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot, upper body delivery that he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 72 mph and showed good command of his fastball while throwing lots of fastball strikes, still developing feel for his curveball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
