Cale Latimer is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Bossier City, LA who attends Benton. Extra-Large frame with strength present throughout the frame. Ran a 7.69 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side step to a higher leg lift as he separates with the hands up high. Longer arm action and then released from a higher three-quarter slot. Was direct to the dish and did a nice job of getting ahead early in counts. Fastball up to 86 mph with life. Feel to spin a breaking ball showing depth and mixed in a sweeping slider as well. Pitchability showing and proves to be very projectable on the mound. Secondary First Baseman, fundamentally sound in his footwork and is confident in the glove. Scoops it up out front and utilized his strong arm as well. Confident in the position and is more than serviceable here. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced and slightly open with the front side. Keeps hands behind the baseball as proved to have some big time pop in the barrel. Drove it deep to the pull-side during batting practice. Outstanding Student. Named to Gulf Coast Top Prospect List.
