Andrew Nesson is a 2023 RHP/IF, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Laguna Niguel, CA who attends Dana Hills. Medium build with room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from an over the top slot. Small side step into a high leg lift. Easy and free flowing delivery down the hill, fastball up to 83 mph. Locates the fastball to both sides of the plate with intent. Breaking ball is a 12-to-6 curveball with good depth to the plate. Stronger off-speed with some slight fade to the plate sits around 72 mph. In the infield, breaks it down well and fields out in front. Meticulous with the ball after fielding. Developing accuracy across the diamond. From the outfield, is meticulous with his reads off the bat and fields off to the side. Uses a lower slot on his throws, understands his footwork well. At the plate, uses a conventional stance with a simple stride trigger. Front side will open early on occasion. Lets the ball travel, middle to opposite field approach. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
