Ben Mecimore is a 2025 C/1B with a 6-2 177 lb. frame from Oakboro, NC who attends West Stanly. Strong, well built frame with current physicality and plenty of time to add. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.59 seconds. Primary position C, using deliberate actions and starting from an appropriate low stance. Mechanically sound, foot work is short and direct with clean transition to throw. Very accurate on pops to second, generating velocity of 71 mph and a best 2.20 on the bag. Nice glove work, presenting ball well. Secondary 1B, moving well through his angles and nice feel around the bag. Glove work was a bit firm and should get better with reps. RHH with an upright neutral stance putting him in position to use his leverage. Very simple operation with minimal lower half turn. Hand driven swing starting from tight hand load and showed juice when he opened it up. Young athlete with good projection and is an elite performer in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
